With about 85,000 residents in the city, the Duluth real estate market is one of the more popular in the area. Our family moved here a few years ago and we enjoy taking part in what is called “Grandma’s Marathon” every June. This is a fun and exciting event that the entire family can enjoy. It involves runners and sports enthusiasts from around the world. We also love the Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon every February. People come from all around the area to see this unique event that can only take place in the frigid temperatures of the northern territories.
As for schools, the Duluth Public Schools offer several opportunities for kids to get a quality education. Our children attend Morgan Park Middle School, but other schools throughout the area include Stowe Elementary, Piedmont Elementary, Central High School and several others. Private schools in Duluth include Lakeview Christian Academy and Stone Ridge Christian School with others in the area as well.
During your search for Duluth real estate homes, you will find a wide variety of houses and neighborhoods available to you. Some of the more popular Duluth neighborhoods include Lester Park, Chester Park, Hartley Estates and Woodland, just to name a few. These Duluth housing communities offer affordable properties so they are ideal for young families and people buying starter homes for the first time. Some of the more upscale neighborhoods with deluxe amenities and features include Northland Estates, Congdon Park and East End with the beautiful Ridgeview Country Club and Golf Course nearby.
Homes in the Duluth real estate market are available in all price ranges. You can find some homes on the more affordable end of the range for less than $125,000. However, if you are looking for something more upscale and exclusive, there are larger homes and properties that are in the $1 million and above range as well as hundreds of homes in between these two ranges so you can find something that meets your budget and lifestyle.
